that's not really it ^_^' guiding animals are different from an animal soul :)
The difference is...a soul's is your. Your soul is an animal, so you're an animal. It's called Therianism.
Guiding Animals are the spirit of an animal which approach you to guide you through life.
Hope that's clear enough ^_^'

I really enjoy the different emotions in the faces. That´s still an element which shows up a good artist! But after all i wish you could draft me a beer at the next silvester convention! Like in Suhl a view months ago! Just kidding! I do not see another Silvestercon atm. But we have EF! LOL

From what I know at birth a kitsune is like a normal fox. In most Japanese folklore really old animals tend to become magical with age. ( from the books I've read ) So at age 100 the fox's original tail will split becoming two. ( not sure if the splitting happens suddenly or takes time. I don't remember that ever being mentioned in any of the books I've read. ) So if what the fox in the comic was correct then at the age of 1000 the kitsune would have 11 tails... however most kitsune end up with 9 tails... I've never heard of a 10 tailed kitsune. So perhaps the tail count ends at 9 or most kitsune dissappear or are killed at age 800... but I'm not sure as it is a mythological creature. XD hope that helped.
