Last week when my hand was hurting the worst, I decided to try drawing anyway, but in a much more experimental fashion. No stress, just fun.
So I chose to doodle all of the heroes and villains (minus Clock-la) of Sly 2: Band of Thieves! And to add to it, I did it without reference. Meaning I didn't look up what the characters looked like nor did I reference animal photographs to, ya know, get their anatomy right like I typically would. I did it all completely from memory. All things considered... I'm pretty happy with how well I did! The only thing I changed in post was Rajan's turban and Neyla's forehead gem.
Now, there are some things that are different/off. But I'll leave it a mystery as to what is a mistake and what is intentional ;)
One I will say, though, is I turned Neyla into a regular cat on purpose. I always saw her as a tabby cat, and have believed that the last 10+ years. So when I found out she was a tiger... lol no. I OBJECT.
