After spending multiple hours fighting in the Nexus, what would be a better way to chill out than to grab a good friend and take a peaceful flight through the untouched wilderness?

This great piece of art was created by  WeisswindDragon and shows Matt and me as Faerie Dragons from the WarCraft universe and I'm simply amazed how great it turned out. The details on the wings and the flyings effect are simply astonishing. Here's also a small story from my friend Matt, that gives a small story background for the picture ^^

Let is go to a world of fairy tales and magic


Matt chirped a bit, still unsure how to stay airborne with this wildly different wings. As a normal dragon he could fairly easily fly by now. But a faerie dragon was so vastly different. He could barely stay airborne.

His friend Nino on the other hand seemed to have no problem at all. He was chirping and warbling happily as he flew past Matt and over the flower-dotted pastures of this world.

Nino had been one of the few people that Matt had identified as a human with a dragon soul. Following this discovery, he had shown him his draconic side as well, just as he did with Alex.

And after he had found out that his magic pendant enabled him to travel to other worlds too (even though it cost its entire energy load and needed to recharge for a long time afterwards) , Nino has asked Matt over and over again to try if they could travel to a very specific place.

And so Matt had finally given in and allowed Nino to concentrate on that world he wanted to go to with Matt. And to Matt's surprise they really did manage to travel to the lands of Azeroth, near the untainted forests of Feralas.

Matt had been surprised that this universe was as real as theirs, but Nino had been more than delighted to see it worked.

But they had to actually wait another day for the pendant to recharge before Nino was able to initiate part two of his plan.

Again he used Matt's pendant, and to Matt's surprise, they both started to change nearly immediately, shrinking in size and shape.

To Matt the feeling of such a change was nothing new at this point but the form was something totally foreign and alien.

Both started to sprout scales of their respective dragon forms already at the start of their transformation. But their wings started to grow from their backs, they were shaped more like the ones that resembles a butterfly. Very quickly they both kept shrinking in size, their human clothes covering them up entirely, both of them wiggling out of their fabric piles. At least their tails were long and wiggly as Matt was used to by now.

And when their snout started to grow, their faces elongate and his upper jaw merged with his nose, Matt and Nino both let out happy chirps and trills as they kept on changing, their snouts obscuring their field of view just as they were used to by now. And instead of horns, they both had long flexible feather-like antennas on their heads.

Nino looked at his hands changing shape more and more, his nails growing into, compared to his fingernails, huge white claws, the same was happening to his toes. His new scythe like claws dug into the soil as he stood up on all fours, his changes soon coming to an end.

They both shuddered in pleasure when they both started to grow a long sail like frill along their spine, capturing the warm rays of the sun and the gentle breeze that was rolling over the green pastured surrounding them.

When they finished their transformation, Nino chirped and warbled happily and took to the air nearly instantly, as if he had been a faerie dragon all his life.

Matt took a bit longer before he somewhat mastered this, but as soon as he did, he and Nino just kept flying all over this colourful and happy looking spot of this world. As long as nobody would interupt their happy times together, they would keep on flying for how long they wanted.
