so here's something really embarrassing:
a friend requested i paint her friend's cats as a surprise. she sends me a few pictures of two tortoiseshells who look super similar...i go through all the reference photos she sent to find some that would work together. i'm, like, pretty positive that one photo is of each cat. like, i spend a long time (it seemed) making sure the references were of the different cats (i'm stoned as fuk the whole time of course). so i spend literally like two months on this painting because trying to do the markings was making me crazy and i hated the composition so i really struggled to get it completed.
anyway, i finish it, pack it up, mail it to my friend, and then as i'm going through the photos of it i took on my phone to edit...i realize it's the same fucking cat, twice. #whatcanyado
also, this photo is really poor quality :(

thank you so much!! i hope the owner liked it as much, i never found out what she thought of this one or the one i did of her dog, unfortunately.
as a side note, i am so sorry i didn't reply to your other comments where we were conversing–i had them open in tabs, then haven't had internet to reply (still don't, really, it's so shitty >:( ) and had to restart my computer, then lost the tabs and can't remember what posts they were on. haha, so sorry!! definitely not ignoring you though! :)

Yeah, it sometimes can be such a bummer to create something as a present for one you don't know, then never hear a single word from then again- happens w/ me too at times and really pisses me off XD
And don't worry, i was guessing it's either the internet (mine likes to play that w/ me too, and w/ time more and more often than my nerves can take, pfft) or just life being busy around you. :)
