The Vulcan is the biggest of all Nerf weapons. Its a motorized belt-fed automatic machine gun. It runs on 6 'D' batteries and has a belt of 25 rounds. On fresh batteries it can fire 3 rounds a second. It comes with a folding tripod so you can set up ambush or crossfire situations. Or you'd like to. Unfortunately, the Vulcan is all plastic and is pushing the limits of the materials. Never mind its size and firepower, the Vulcan only has a four meter range and next to no accuracy. Modding this thing only kills it faster. And its heavy! I wouldn't want to be lugging this thing around in a Nerf War, especially when you run out of ammo - its takes a full minute to reload the belt. The Vulcan is all bark and no bite. Fun for larking around but leave it behind in a Nerf War. Sorry, Arnie.

Though seeing someone walking down a hallway with one of those in each hand (he's a blacksmith, and is strong enough to do that) is certainly intimidating enough.
I actually think they definitely have their place. I'd use them in narrow spaces, like dorm corridors, where the lack of accuracy is less important. They're definitely suppression fire weapons, however, and not for any sort of assault.

Maybe just one thing missing in the arsenal... The NERF Striker.
It's a little one-shot gun that carries five reloads under the barrel. It looks pretty nice, it's small and can be carried around as a quick side-arm. It's pretty accurate and even has a hardpoint on it for accessoiries.
Other than that... I love the whole line-up.

Since I promised some pictures.

I'd say it fires a little less accurately than the Maverick, but has superior range to it. Of course, single shot, but the reload is easy to grab from the gun itself.

All of these nerf pics you've done are very adorable :p
Also reminds me of how irritating it is to get a good nerf gun in the UK. A freind of mine is a bit of a NerF enthusiast (sp), and showed me that the crappy things we get are nothing in comparison to some of the NerF guns made in the US :(

Yeh, the cheaper, flimsier BuzzBee products are widely available in the UK but Nerf is starting to make an appearance. I've seen Mavericks, Switchshots, Nite Finders and Recons in the 'Entertainers' down Bristol and in Birmingham. I've also seen them sell the Hulk repaint of the Titan and Hornet dual set - for £15 (they are trying to get rid of them - was soo very tempted to buy one)
Be patient and look around, Nerf IS appearing in the UK. Just keep an eye out.

If you're American, you will find Nerf products at any toy store. If you're from anywhere else, that explains why you've never heard them. If you're Australian, go to Target now.
And you've never played any form of Japanese role-playing game if you've never seen those sort of statistic charts. They show you the strength, accuracy and performance of each weapon in turn, showing you which have strengths and weaknesses.

This is an ancient post and I apologize for commenting on it.
I only got into the Nerf hobby in September and I got one of these used at Goodwill but missing the tripod, the handle, and the ammo belt. It looks cool as hell though, and yeah I don't get how well it'd do in a Nerf war either. Granted I've never actually participated and mainly just fire them off at home....
Cute artwork also.
