Random doodle in between commissions so I don't lose my mind XD

I've been on a Monster Pop kick lately so I have a lot to add to the story. Mostly backstory stuff. I was thinking of how nightmare monsters come to be and came up with a strange idea that every nightmare monster(a classification of monster for my Monster Pop story) doesn't have parents and their earliest memory is a pitch black lake. Nobody knows where this lake is and nightmares will instinctively keep walking from the lake until they find a place to live. Let it be adoption into a family or they find a home.

Monsters will come out either fully grown or as a child, either way none of them know where this place is, they just know they came from it. They call it the Abyssal Lake because some nightmares will remember it, though being small, was very deep.

So yeah, weird idea in mind and I had to get the idea down before I forgot it~ >w<
