The other day I stumbled across a 'blog, whose keeper asks (mostly) comic artists to draw a favorite character or author, and then posts the results. The results are a mixed bag, but there are some real gems in there.
It might have ended there, but I remembered this 'blog last night in a fit of insomnia, and doodled myself to sleep. You can see things get progressively less detailed as the night wore on, right down to the outsized head and lumpy torso clutching a bowl that is supposed to be Oliver Twist.
It was originally going to be a group of detectives I had known, but I could only think of four before I decided to branch out.
See if you can name 'em all for a special prize!

Well, the dude in the bathrobe holding the tome that has 'Don't Panic' written on the cover in large, friendly letters is pretty unmistakable. And the Toad behind the wheel losing his hat should be easy to identify as well...
I think I see Pooh, and maybe the White Rabbit? Well, it's a rabbit in a nice suit, regardless. The boozed up sloth I don't recognize though. And the guy with the Atomic Pile vacuum... I'm curious about him.
By the way, when you said Oliver Twist was clutching a bowel, I thought for a moment he had been eviscerated. ^_^

Argh! Well, now it's fixed. Color me embarrassed! I'm not even that fond of the book, I just thought I'd include him because he can be made to be iconic :)
And yes, that is Winnie the Pooh. He suffered from drowsy artist too, but he's kind of lumpy anyway, so that helped keep him recognizable, I guess. But no, it's not the white rabbit. Maybe I put him in too fine of a suit. It just needs to be a blue jacket with brass buttons, quite new.
The fellow with the vacuum? He's just a British ex-pat selling vacuums in Havana, is all. Really!
