I wouldn't recommend it if you didn't build your own suit from scratch :D And if you use any hot glue you can consider that part of the suit gone as hot glue and water hate each other with a passion.
Aside from knowing what kinda of stress I can probably put him through based on what materials I used and how I built him, if I ruin something I can always just rebuild it later. In this case I basically just lost most of his body airbrushing - though that was less the swim and more the washer cycle I put the suit through after.

Hahaha, awesome :3 I remember clomping through some puddles once in an olllld monster suit
Ah it's really amazing how much water foam will absorb and how heavy it gets!!!!
You so crazy lmao. But it was worth it for that video(PS you can make foamwatersafe by giving it a thin paint-covering of latex before you fur it! I made some 'waterproof' digitigrade a while back. It worked pretty OK except the fur still gets heavy and skanky.

Haha what's awesome is that right before this event I went and remade all of Toby's padding with open cell foam :D The idea was to make him cooler to wear, but as a nice side effect the padding did not absorb any water at all.
Though, the forelegs stilts are closed on the bottom and hollow inside so they filled up with water right to my knuckles XD They were *so* heavy that after I got out I had to contort them upside down to dump all the water out XD
