Coping with a limitation, like blindness, takes inspiration. Inspiration often found through the work of others to know a gift you can give is something others will genuinely enjoy as much as you do.
When I started to embrace my talent as an author I happened upon a show called “Pocket Dragon Adventures”. Turns out Voice Actors, Vas, from MLP: FiM put their talents into this 1996 jovial animation based on the art of Real Musgrave.
Ian Corlett was the voice of Filbert. The self-proclaimed leader of the band of playful, cookie-loving Pocket Dragons. He was accompanied by another MLP: FiM VA, Tabitha St. Germain, who played the role of the youngest Pocket Dragon, Binky.
Clair Corlett made her first notable appearance, to me, in a show she voiced alongside her father. This PBS Kids program being 2009’s “Dinosaur Train”.
Those who loved Claire’s ‘Squeaky Belle’ in MLP: FiM would recognize her role as Tiny Pteranodon within seconds. Anyone who heard her father, Ian, as Silver Shill in the MLP: FiM episode “Leap of Faith” would also hear his role as Mr. Conductor from Dinosaur Train come out along with a bit of his Filbert from Pocket Dragon Adventures.
This piece was done by fellow presenter, Wishy Wisp, so I could have it signed by both Ian and Clare. It is a representation of over 20 years of writing inspiration I gained through their roles. It’s been my goal to be a writer of books for children and tweens for many years and it is shows like “Pocket Dragon Adventures”, “dinosaur Train”, and “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” that give me hope my work will, one day, be recognized beyond a handful of really good friends who also keep me writing despite moments where I feel it is not worth all the effort.
I may not be able to physically see the work Wishy / Doodle did here. However I know her to be a great artist for her efforts I was still able to see as I shared work at BronyCon 2013 through present.

Been meaning to write you an apology for how delayed I've become... again. The latest commission I've gotten, on top of getting things set for the panel and spending time with my son, has made me fall way behind on messages.

I've deeply enjoyed discovering how so many MLP VAs have been a part of my creative development. So many have played roles in media that instilled confidence in my own works. There'd be no Welcome to saurral manor[/I] without what they played a part in. :)
If you make it to BronyCon next year I do hope you get to meet some of your inspirations, too. :)
