Recently had the urge to revamp my oldest digimon OC (that is, my oldest tamer oc-- my oldest digimon is still Lazumon), and I wanted to revamp his partner.
His partner was a weakened cherubimon vice because cherubimon is my favorite canon digimon, but I wanted to explore more of why he was weakened.

And then I re-watched Hurricane Touchdown and remembered that Hurricane Touchdown is unwatchable garbage SORRY BUT IT IS EVEN IN JAPANESE, so I wanted to re-do some of its ideas, and out of this train of thought came Meimon.

TL;DR INCOMING.

The idea is that when two digimon were born from one egg, both the Zerimon and the Cocomon were slightly unstable, and after adventuring for a while with their tamer, Takashi, both began to glitch out. Lopmon was preyed upon by the corrupting villainous force of the day, and was force-evolved into Cherubimon Vice. A battle ensued, costing Takashi the use of his legs, and in a last-ditch attempt to save his tamer, his brother, and himself, Terriermon did some woogie digimon magic and force-fused with Cherubimon.

The resultant digimon was Meimon, the little terriermon clone here. Now mostly stable, he has great power as a rookie level, but his higher forms suffer somewhat in power. His mega form is still Cherubimon Vice (with a golden holy ring around one wrist-- which dampens his power, but allows him to stay in control of himself), and his champion and ultimate forms are Lopmon's line filtered through the lens of Terriermon's.
He's one digimon, with one consciousness, but he still sometimes refers to himself as 'we'. I imagine Terriermon and Lopmon are like, his little shoulder angel/shoulder devil.

So the champion level here to the side -- Zukamon -- is Turuiemon by way of Gargomon. I never really loved Turuiemon that much -- I much prefer Wendigomon -- but Wendigomon didn't seem to fit for a stable, non-evil digimon, so I made do, and tried to get something I liked from the base of Turuiemon. I quite like Zukamon, so I think I succeeded.
(I do like turuiemon, but, I donno, it's never quite clicked for me.)

His ultimate form, Artillemon, i've drawn but haven't been assed to ink yet, so that'll come later. it's basically andiramon BUT WITH MECHA PARTS AND GUNS.

tl;dr:
if canon can make "agumon, agumon but black, agumon but white, agumon but a professor, agumon but made out of legos, agumon but made out of black legos, and agumon but made out of slightly transluscent legos", I'm allowed to do literally anything i fucking want.
