This is Mandala, my Earth Pony.
I created her as I wanted a Pony with big beautiful red eyes and then I decided to make her more exotic by adding in the Indian-esque features, such as the mandala cutie mark and the head decoration. Her mane is also read with a thick black outline - indicative of henna that is often used in the Middle East/ Central Asia and Indian Subcontinent as hair dye and body art.
The background is two shades of purple, light and dark, and represents the dusk.

This is a traditional art piece - I used coloured pencils and black ink pen (two layers to give it that really solid, black appearance).
