This picture, later to be inked and colored (this is pencil and light inks), was inspired, last night, as I read, "Nuada of the Silver Arm". A newfound favorite of mine, passed down from Old Irish folk lore.

It's a wonderful read, if ever anyone chooses to read it, or if any here have read it. Ailen most closely resembles my personal favorite character, "The Dagda", or "The All-Father", who has a ladle so large that a man and a woman may lay in it, comfortably.
