The Crown of Leaves background - The Cemetery
We were searching for the main concept of sahash cemeteries for a long time - the ordinary gravestones looked too boring for a fantasy setting... So we chose an old Pre-Islamic tradition of using wooden posts and the skulls of goats (they are thought to fight off evil spirits, and help the soul of the deceased to ensure a safe passage to heaven) as our inspiration.
I guess it's kinda symbolic for sahash. I love it.
