My first time actually fursuiting with other furries was this last May, when Yoshi, from Japan, came to visit Mexico. Since I had had some contact with him previously, I tagged along in his trip throughout the Mexican Heartland, where I happened to meet other furries from Querétaro and Mexico City.
This was my first time meeting furries, and while I am not a stranger to wearing a full furry suit in public under a different identity, it was crazy to do this with others who also love goofing around like this.
This picture is taken in what is perhaps Mexico's most magical city, Guanajuato, an old colonial city built at the bottom of a ravine surrounded by mountains that are full of rich rivers of silver underneath the surface, which gave the city its wealth, which sufficed to be able to construct such a complicated network of mazelike streets and alleys, all while being built entirely in a classical, renaissance, baroque and neoclassical old world style.
This picture is very telling, for it depicts the moment in which I discovered that I had been a furry since at least 12 years ago, but didn't quite know about it at all. My only regret is that I didn't know about the fandom earlier.
It is fitting that I would embrace furriness in the city that I most enjoy in my country.
