Well, not too shabby with my stab at shading here if I do say so myself! It's certainly better than my previous attempt from four years ago!
Got some very helpful lessons and techniques from my best friend
regarding shading. It was a bit of trial and error doing it in SAI till I was reminded about the Mode drop-down menu. Since then, I got the hang of it. Still gonna take some time getting used to as I've never really done much shading before, but thanks to and all her encouragement and help, I've done a good job with this and am gonna keep on doing my best! One step at a time!
And I felt like messing around with a sort of ink splotch design randomly there because why not?

Yeah, that's true. Great, now looking at that and taking that into consideration, I realise I've messed up. Oops! LMAO
But y'know what? I'm okay with that; again, shading was the main concern here, and I had fun with it. I'll keep that in mind as far as tails next time; I just hope not to make it unrealistically short or anything (I can never seem to find the right middle ground ;^w^). lol

Well thank you very kindly! I'm glad you feel that this was still a good drawing regardless of my lack of knowledge of body proportions (never took art or anatomy classes in high school at all). ;^w^
I know, it's pretty wonky in terms of matching proportions and getting them right (as if the unnecessarily-long tail wasn't enough, lol). ;>_< Keep in mind I'm not used to drawing female figures or, well, any good figures at all. And breasts.. Good Lord, those are hard to master, too. XD lol Trying to understand basic body structure as a whole. But even with this early attempt, I know I have a long way to go to be even 1% better than this. lol
And don't worry, you didn't mean any offense towards my work. :3 As long as nobody's an asshole about it, anyone can feel free to be brutally honest with my work and give me helpful feedback as well as tips and tricks to improve.
