A bit of a peak of something I'm working on for a local fur whom has a roo character. Challenge accepted!
Wanted something a bit more dynamic... and swinging around a pole seemed about right.
...Mind out of the gutter - it's a lamppost, or a tree. Or maybe it isn't. Use your imagination - the owner of the character certainly will be when he gets back to me on how to proceed/finish this out. For now rated G until and unless the owner says otherwise for future work.
... And yes NateDay, this will probably end up in your pile for redline/resketch work to see where things went awry. :P I fully expect the hands are an issue, I certainly struggled with them enough... I'm sure my sketchwork makes no sense. :P I mostly work with basic shapes, then start drawing over them, erasing what doesn't look/feel 'right' and sometimes resizing till I'm happy and move on to the next piece. I'm sure I'm going about this all wrong/inefficiently.
White outline was an interesting touch after I transitioned to a dark background to start linework and flat colors. No shading as of yet. The background needed something to help, white outline is certainly a different approach - almost is acceptable color-wise as-is. I like simplicity.
