I feel like I should contribute a bit more. So, to quote my dA:
"I've had the idea for a comic strip for a while now. I'm not sure I could actually do one, but whatever...these are the characters, and the setting would usually be in a zoo...occassionally running the underground bar the other animals visit. Did you expect something too normal from me?
Mortimer - "Morte" or "Morty": A Giant Anteater who acts as a deadpan snarker and seems to love tearing the fouth wall a new one at any given opportunity. He's very intelligent, and lazy, too. Isn't all that fond of being called "Morty".
Rufus - "Ru": A turkey vulture who mixes an upbeat personality with a morbid mindset. He's occassionally caught playing the only sane man out of the group, but usually serves as the comedic sociopath. Has been friends with Morte for a long time due to liking his name.
Hannah: A giraffe who pokes her head in every now and then, usually striking up conversation with Morte. Not always part of the group, but around enough to count. She and Morte have similar personalities, but she's definitely the normal one.
Fap: Fap is...a bit off in the head. He's new to the zoo, and seems to believe his tail is plotting against him. He has a childlike innocence, though and means well most of the time. He doesn't understand why his name is funny. Usually the butt of Ru's jokes or insults. Also the cute one.
In case you'd want some trivia:
-Morte is comparable to Gil Grissom combined with Deadpool.
-Ru was named by ~sandragon13
-Hannah's body will never be seen.
-Hannah is an homage to a character from the Dinosaurs sitcom.
-Hannah's name is a palindrome as a refenece to the Pokemon Girafarig. Named by ~Ryo-wu
-Fap draws some inspiration from characters like Ed from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
-Fap's name and being a fox is an affectionate jab at the furry community, and was *this* close to being named Yiff.
-Should this take off, Fap will likely be the most popular. I just know it."
Didn't feel like amending it. Most normal people would expect lil Fap up there to cause a fuss, but I ain't most people, and it says "affectionate". And he's cute. You can't deny it, right?
