First time i read this like "There-is-no-saurus" x_x

Woah, that's freaky :o What a scary looking dinosaur, I've never seen one before. Very well made though, as usual :) I love the claws especially, both on the "hands" and feet.

This is one of my favorite dinosaurs, so odd and yet in it's own way so completely awesome. I want one!

When they found the fossil claws of this thing, they thought it was a huge bastard Theropod...tunrs out it was a vegetarian with HUGE claws.

well technically it is a theropod. just an herbivorous theropod!

WHY ARE HERBIVORES SO GODDAMN CREEPY

I am pleased.

The people who decide what an animal ate, or its behavioural traits, seem to be kind of limited in speculative imagination.
The theory is that this animal sat on its ass all day and ate leaves. But I'm inclined to think it was a frugivore.
If it evolved from a meat eater, fruit would be far more compatible with a changing digestive system than leaves, and the claws would be extremely useful for pulling down tree fruit, whereas leaves would be much easier to reach.

These people are also highly trained in their field. The reason why therizinosaurs could not be frugivores is because there were not many fruit-bearing trees in the cretaceous period. Angiosperms (of which fruit-bearing trees) had just appeared, and were still restricted to magnolias and certain varieties of elm and similar trees.

The level of biodiversity must have been a lot lower then.
I guess there are ecological niches that didn't exist.

Wonderful! A rarity among the masses! UGH I still kick myself for not picking up that little figure of one I saw at TRU from that Dinosaur Adventure line thing they had going. Atleast I got a hold of that liopleurodon I was hunting for...forever. XD

One of my most fav dinos (next to the oviraptor and Psittacosaurus) and such an under appreciated one at that. Tis why it was my choice when I made that shirt design a long while back X3
