Hey there, and thanks for your continued interest in my work! My commissions just closed back up yesterday. D: Sorry about that! Though they should open up again soon. Surprisingly, I tend to get swamped as soon as I mark them as "open" over there so diligence is needed to get a spot!

it's not a spam, it's just a journal lol, it's really hard for busy people to keep up with what's happening, FA is a big place and sometimes you don't think about checking the things,i'm sure lot of people (including myself) would want to see a journal fopr commissions opening. Not even to mention you'd catch at least twice more clients...
Well thank you for your advice! However with my current backlog as it is, catching twice the amount of clients doesn't actually sound all that appealing to me! Of course things may change and I'm not saying I never will, I just haven't had to yet. If it's any consolation, my current method allows commissions to be open for a calm few days, rather than a mad dash upon announcement with a very small window of opportunity. A quick glance at my commission info. page when I upload a new piece (which is included at the bottom of every post I make) is a surefire way to catch an opening (or at least it has been working for all my clients to date). As it stands, a very small percentage of my watchers ever intend to actually commission me, anyways. With how frequently my commission status changes, it would get quite annoying for everyone! Basically what I'm trying to say is this; I run my business differently than most artists in that I try to keep my queue small and wait times moderately short. This means less commissions taken at any given time, meaning I don't need nor want the huge but temporary influx of clients. This also means I can open back up fairly frequently. Making announcements every time would be repetitive and at times challenging for me in ways I do not wish to approach right now. Again, this may change in the future! For now however, I'd like to keep things calm and simple.
