Thing is there is no value in trains any more and stuff like that. Same with books and stamps. My generation wants the latest computer or xbox that will be worthless in a year or two.
I enjoyed trains because it was one thing my father and I could enjoy together. I did not go for sports and what not that he did as a kid, he did not understand computers and electronics so we had nothing in common but the trains he loved doing his layouts but did not know much beyond hooking the transformer to the track. I on the other hand could make them do all sorts of neat things with just a trip to radio shack.
