Recently finished commission. An alien bird-like critter called "Mabob" from a book of short stories, Mirabile, by Janet Kagan. I realize it came out looking a bit like an artichoke, but i was just following the description from the book. I don't think anyone could draw a wingless, bird-shaped greature with green pangolin-style scales without it looking like an artichoke!
