Ahahahah XD It's definitely a sign that these pics could be canon XD Though I think even Shade wouldn't marry his daughter. I mean, he does care for her like a father :3
I was thinking about playing TFTBL too, I'm curious about it, but I only played Borderlands 2 so far (multiple times XD ). DO I need to know more parts of the plot before playing Tales?

I don't remember you ask that, so I'll answer anyway.
I played Tales first, Pre-Sequel then, then Borderlands 1 and only after that I started Borderlands 2. As you can see, I messed all the order up, that's why I didn't get some points in games first and realised it only later %) Still love them in any case, even if I didn't finish some of them yet.
The right list is:
Borderlands 1
Pre-Sequel
Borderlands 2
Tales from the Borderlands
