Simply amazing. This has to be my favorite picture I've seen from you so far. Not only did you do a magnificent job at the execution (The sense of scale and grandeur) but you also drew what has to be in my top 3 depictions of Kiya who is also my favorite character by Stampy.
Consider me jealous! I want something this awesome XD

Alright! Now that I've done my bit, and caught up I can finally reply to this!
Goodness me, you did an absolutely outstanding job with this: Kiya looks absolutely amazing, the perspective and foreshortening is fantastic. You really do seem to be pushing the extents of your own abilities all the time and it really shows. The colour theory work here is fantastic. I love the warm vibrant colours of the foreground, and how they blend into paler less contrasted lighter colours with distance.
I could really ramble on forever about how nice the composition is, how lovely Kiya looks, how great the sphinx looks etc, but you'd get fed up of my rambling. All in all, this is absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much!

It is amazing the amount of detail you put into this piece of art!
Have you heard of Medibang Paint Pro by any chance? A friend recommended it to me, and me being a complete noob in the area I have no idea which one works better/is better/whatever. I'd never heard of Krita before, but I'm happy to see it's free!
So yeah, Krita or medibang according to you, and why?
And finally, how many hours/days/weeks did you put into this?

What I've heard Medibang is a simple and good app for mobile devices like iphone or samsung note (which have pressure sensitivity). I personally can't draw on tiny screens without getting a headache and wrist pain so my preferred platform for digital art is a pc (my screens and tablet are all 22"), and I've found Krita is optimal for that.
So depending on the device you've got and os you run you have lots of different options.
Why I've found Krita is good is the diversity and flexibility in brush engines, pen stabilizers and perspective assistant tools, wrap around mode for patterns, the printing related features, huge library of gmic filters and processing, how it handles gigantic canvases and ability to customize your workspace to display only features you need to use. Krita also works for all kinds of art styles, whenever the need is for sharp & smooth lineart or imitating traditional brushes.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to eventually be drawing using a huion tablet on mac, but I can definitely understand how drawing on a small surface like a phone would be a pain.
I'm trying to get better at drawing pencil-on-paper first before I start seriously diving into digital, but I like to research a bit what the different options are and what workd best.
"brush engines, pen stabilizers and perspective assistant tools, wrap around mode for patterns, the printing related features, huge library of gmic filters and processing,"
I have no idea what most of those words mean :p
All in due time I suppose, if I don't know what they mean I'll need to learn that before drawing well digitally, and before that I still need to improve my pen-on-paper skills. Thanks for the reply!
