I'm joining Art Fight so I decided to update their ref finally after like, two years! A couple of changes have come along since then anyway.
So here's Pann, the strange shapeshifter! They look like a bird almost with their feathers and beak, but that's as far as you'll get. Their beak is more fleshy and not so much keratin like regular beaks are. It holds sharp teeth and a blue tongue reminiscent of the blue tongued skink and makes it easy for them to lap stuff up(like tea of course!). They have squirrel like anatomy and movements, but are around the size of a housecat. They have small hands with thumbs to grab things, too.
Pann themself is a rather lazy shapeshifter, they don't constantly do it unless they feel they need to. I used to have no idea how to move them around fast so they had this blue energy form but now I realize they can literally just shapeshift. So they often grow wings to fly places, or maybe elongate their limbs, whatever works. They also shapeshift into a dragon at times because they think it looks cool. Pann travels around since they don't really live anywhere, and enjoys finding ways to get tea. They probably eat food too, and who knows how old they are. It's also still a mystery where they came from, or if there's any shapeshifters exactly like them.
They're smart enough to understand others, they just don't talk really. If they were to talk they'd take on a humanoid form first. They usually try to match another creature's language, such as growling at a dog, singing to a bird, etc. Usually though they are just quiet, and gesture a lot. They get cranky sometimes if they don't get what they want, but they're pretty neutral as a creature overall.
And of course, they're genderless and probably don't even have a true name, but Pann probably sounds nice to them. They must've heard it once somewhere.
Pann sure is a mystery!
