Started this last Monday, took me forever to finish because I had no days off from work for 12 goddamn days... blah

But yeah. About this and not that.

Once Vilkas learns about Adrian's existence, he keeps pestering Adrian because he thinks the two of them have a lot in common, which they sort of do, but Adrian begs to differ. Aside from the fact that Adrian thinks the canid side of his family is completely insane, Adrian has no reason not to believe Vilkas is a murderer (of course he doesn't agree with the violent nature of canid society and their ideas of there being such a thing as a "fair kill", and thinks the whole family is a bunch of unconvicted murderers, but Vilkas was convicted even by canid standards). Anything he knows about Vilkas comes from what his dad had told him about. Cobalt was not in on Vilkas's framing and didn't actually want to believe that Vilkas was guilty, but between looking guilty, having a bad past record of being an unpredictable and often violent trouble maker, and having blown all the chances and help Cobalt had tried to lend him before, he didn't have much reason to believe Vilkas.
