Well, in the Drift you need a quick action of the handbrake, that is why it is close to the steering wheel, apart these levers handle much more pressure for the torque it has and makes it more powerful than a normal handbrake, apart from the brake of Normal hand has a button to be operated, which makes it difficult to use in drift
