this is my favorite out of the art card series, and perhaps one of my favorite pieces from you period. the subject matter is unique, the colors are outstandingly vibrant and i have a major weakness for birds!
absolutely stunning. i'll add it to my favorites happily.
is this your own character? i only hope you'll depict her more!

For the art cards I basically make up 'generic characters' but sometimes I can't help but give them names. And every now and then, they do show up in other pictures. So, I guess they are my own characters, only lacking in any big back story. If I use someone else's character, it'll for sure say so in the description. :)
As for why a bird on this one, I have a turkey vulture plush sitting on my couch and I think that sort of inspired it. Of course, the plush toy isn't as classy as Madame Carione. XD

I really like this one, such an artful rendering of a creature often overlooked, or depicted as being ugly or evil. Here, she's given glamour and good taste, and a penchant for fine things, not to mention exquisite taste in fashion. This is both a brilliant and refreshing take on an often villainized avian. :3
She's quite charming, in a dead-flesh-eating way. :)
About her name, though. For a genuinely francophone effect, why not call her Madame de la Charogne? Or (even though the noun is masculine) Madame Charognard?
On the other hand, as far as I can tell, Carione means, uh... nothing. :)
