Painted for
Bonnie-Las and
SibeorHusky
I got this exact image in my head as soon as I read the description of the painting and luckily we all liked it from the start. Needless to say I went a little experimental with the image format and in my opinion it did allow me to paint everything exactly how I wanted, closed in the frame of the trees but still open, bright and inviting. The position of the characters was a question that I answered by imagining their movements and capturing a singe moment that has a balance of movement and stability just like in a common photograph.
All in all I think I've painted exactly what I imagined, and hopefully that's exactly what you'll enjoy seeing.
Bonnie, Sibeor, thank you for this opportunity guys! <3

Yes, well, that picture gets me in more than one way.
1. The scope. A comic artist once said that there is only one difference between a comic artist and a film maker. A comic artist (and any grsaphic artist for that matter) has no bedgetary constraints.
2. I have a weakness for flxying ships.
3. The two characters give me so many ideas.
4. Two moons? One of the best ways to show we are on a different planet.
5. I adore the landscape.

It's a question of relativity.
A spaceship, a exploding planet, even a city can be drawn with the same time and effort.
A moviemaker can rent a helicopter and film a city. He won't be able to create the other two scenes with the same budget at the same detail and quality.
In that regard you don't have a budget restraint.
