what makes stripes 'intricate'? regular stripes LOOK complex but are easy to draw because they aren't SPECIFIC. it's just generic stripes, not a line here, a line here, and a line here. intricate stripes are detailed markings that have to be copied exactly to be accurate. i can show examples if you ask privately but i don't want to make anyone feel bad by publicly labeling their designs as 'too complicated'.
Minimum and Moderate effort commissions can be upgraded at any time, even once they are finished and uploaded! So for example you could buy a minimum just to see what your character looks like in my style, and then if you liked it, pay the difference to have me upgrade it to moderate or even maximum quality later.
Minimum effort generally is done same-day, and is extremely rough, basically just a conceptual sketch with a single layer of shading slapped on top.

Moderate effort can be done same-day but will never take more than a week to finish, FROM THE TIME I START IT. if i have other stuff i have to do first obviously i can't tell how long it will take. unlike minimum effort these are fully detailed and have multiple layers of shading, however it's all still rather rough and there is little to no fine-tuning for overall artistic appeal.

Maximum effort will take anywhere from a week to 2 months, it depends not only on the complexity of the scene but also on my mental state, as the pressure of doing my best sometimes gets to me more than i'd like. on these commissions i make an active effort to clean up the lines and make the whole image as pretty as possible. includes at least 2 layers of shading in addition to a layer of highlights. sometimes more, depending on the situation.
