This is not part of the campaign, but simply information about Zeril, which are.
Zeril are a species of domesticated quadruped saurians that are commonly used throughout most of Evara as riding and dray animals. Typically they are covered with shiny and smooth scales, almost soft to the touch, and individuals vary in coloration from iridescent reds and blues and greens, although rarer individuals can be black or brown. Commonly the colors are patterned in stripes, a duller undertone with brighter colored stripes. Zeril often have a color complimentary crest of short spiky hair-like spines starting at the top of their skull and running down their neck to between their shoulders. They have fairly prehensile forepaws, allowing them to grasp for climbing. The tip of each finger and toe is capped in a hard hoof-like nail, and Zeril walk on their finger and toe-tips. They have three digits on each paw, which splay widely when walking, but tend to close up into a tight grouping for running. Zeril bodies are sinuous, almost cat-like, with a long muscular tail and a long dragon-like neck, giving them a smooth, almost undulating gait. Their long tail can be used as a whip in defense and being omnivorous, they have a nasty bite. In the wild, Zeril mostly scavenge what meat they eat, being poor predators. If they catch a small enough animal, they have been known to kill and eat it. Wild Zeril graze and eat fruit their long necks and climbing forepaws allow them to reach. In captivity, Zeril subsist primarily on grains and grasses, while prize stock is fed fruits, vegetables and when young, meat to bulk up early growth.
Oviparous, Zeril lay clutches of 2-5 eggs, about half of which never hatch. On hatching, Zeril are quick on their feet and hungry, following parents to a source of food and eating voraciously. Zeril hatchlings are about 1 foot long, but reach full adult growth in two to three years, depending on breed and diet. Standard adult riding Zeril is 10 feet long and stands about 5 feet at the shoulders. Dray Zeril average out at 15 feet long and 7 feet at the shoulders, while smaller breeds average about 6 feet long and 3 feet high at the shoulders.
Because they are omnivorous, Zeril are more aggressive then horses, and a battle-trained mount can be positively vicious, attacking with sharpened hoof-nails, biting, and whipping it's tail to lash at an opponent.
The oldest records available to the sages show that Zeril have been domesticated for as long as there have been records, although packs of them still roam the wilds in heavily forested areas and even on the wide grasslands. They tend to be a jungle dwelling species, preferring territories with plenty of juicy fruits to compliment their diets.

I really appreciate the level of detail you put into these descriptions, and I hope you'll keep them going. Oddly enough, I'm finding the world information posts to be the updates I look forwards to the most. Not that I haven't been enjoying the story-progression posts and the associated goings on - those have been pretty entertaining so far too. I just love nitty-gritty little details like this that make the world seem more tangible. :)
If you're ever needing to questioning what info posts to go ahead with next, I would love to see the racial profiles for the more prominent species in your world (or at the very least, those for the PCs and any major NPCs) or maybe some information regarding Evera's major historical figures or events. Possibly a timeline of some sort?
In regards to the types of wildlife (and I suppose creatures in general) in your world, are you going to be creating an entirely new array of fauna, or will you be mixing in your home-brewed creatures with the more traditional D&D staples? I have to admit, it would make things a lot more interesting, though far more work-intensive, to have the PCs consistently running into unfamiliar creatures on a regular basis. Keeps 'em on their toes, learnin' on the fly and such. ;)

I actually plan to create my own set of fauna for the most part, although I will admit I'm going to cheat somewhat. It's very easy to take an already existing monster, change it's name and appearance, but keep the same stats and abilities.
Some things will be completely made from scratch though.
As for the information posts, I have been kind of iffy on whether to post those or not. Knowing that somebody enjoys them as much as you do, and seeing the various replies to them have encouraged me to continue. Most of these "flavor text" style posts are information that the characters should know that the players probably do not.
Incidentally, I still have about three or four more gods to post about, as well as a few historical landmarks and figures and various creatures so. There will definitely be more!

I wonder, are these in any way related to dragons, or are suarians in general related to dragons in any way. I can just see a
prehistoric Great Wyrm waking up from a millenia-long "nap", and getting pissed off at people for enslaving it's descendents.
(On a semi-related note to my last reply, Halfling in Eberron ride are nomadic dinosuar-riders that live in the Talenta plains, a place that seems to be a mix of Northern Africa and Australia, they favor pterasuars and raptors.)
