Recently I had the urge to look into the mating habits of various dragon species, purely for scientific purposes mind you and not for personal reasons. However, when I approached the librarian of the Adventurers Club about reading material she seemed curiously hesitant to bring forth any documents on the subject. After some patient questioning on my part she eventually gave in and told me that there had been no successful studies in this field at all, she seemed rather embarrassed about it.
It seems so odd that we're lacking in knowledge of this aspect of the livelihood of dragons and yet have such an in-depth knowledge of other species. I spent some time asking my peers within the Club as to why this might be. They were all universally reluctant to answer, instead dancing around the topic or outright changing the subject. Eventually I was able to gather that several of them had in fact attempted research projects into these exact habits and yet all ventures had ended in embarrassment not long after they started.
So now it falls to me to fill in the holes in the Club's archives! Finally I shall make a contribution worthy enough to make a name for myself within these halls, perhaps then people will take me seriously for a change.
I figures I should give some context for the Dragonology series that I'm planning. I'm sure this won't come back to bite him at all~
