I never do reference sheets of my own characters and this has been an on again off again project for the last few months where I couldn't sleep last night so threw on a background and some text when I booted up photoshop to get some printing done.
Lapres doesn't speak, she's a silent character but communicates through movement. She's very cheeky, inquisitive and mischievous. If she can get into something, she probably will.
Her ears are like a rabbits ears, they typically sit back behind her head or off to the side. In situations where shes surprised her ears can stand straight up, or if angry fold back and down. They are non-functional wing ears with orange on the outside and white on the inside.
The orange from her face to her ears follow an eyebrow ridge, so the eyebrows into her wing ears are not flush to her face.
She has 3 forms: Feral Owl, Anthro Owl Gryphon and Feral Owl Gryphon.
She's inspired by kemono chibis with the larger heads and smaller waist. Her legs can be drawn larger and full at the hips or left feminine and slender. (She's not designed to be a fat or chubby character, I just tend to draw her with booty in my sketches.)
I'm fairly particular on her head shape and head markings, but the blue lines can be left off or kept on - artist preference really. She needed something to break up the white and the turquoise in my opinion.

So, I'm not gonna lie. I've been following you for a long while (since back in the DA days). And I've seen so many character creations from you, all great. This one, however, is by-far my favorite. She's simple, but has cool style elements. and popping colors that easily associate with the character.
You should be super proud. :)
