Hm, at first I thought, that club might weigh him down in flight, but I imagine it would act as a decent balance to his large, crested head, seeing as though the tail is pretty short to begin with! So, good job :D

very interesting design. and well-thought-out, too. the wings are awesome, a mix of feathers and membrane. I wonder if this would work right aerodynamically?
but then again, bumblebees are supposedly unable to flight, and do it anyway; so, there.

I’m not the first to stick feathers on her dragon wings like this. I’ve honestly questioned how useful or effective this would be for flight as well. As we are certainly discussing a creature that does not truly exist in nature, perhaps we can create our own reasoning? Let’s see, maybe they aren’t used to assist in flight at all, maybe they are there to keep the wing joints warm? Or, maybe they are used in mating displays or for communication and signaling?

The writing in the left corner is my little joke too. Some folks on DA especially are absolutely militant about their dragon design concepts all claiming them to be theirs and theirs alone and nobody better steal them or they will bring their hoard of fans down open you! I find it all greatly amusing!

ahyes. not that certain people actually read that. also, it's a bit ridculous trying to claim an idea when laws don't protect them. especially threatening people with hordes of fans... did that prevent any art theft before?
I find those more amusing on pictures of a quality so low nobody woudl steal it anyway. including curious brand names like "Property of Didjano Studios"... rrright.

am I taken right that we will see more of this character above from now on, and maybe other individuals as well? I'd liek to see their mating dance, perhaps. :)
