I love the humor and the sprites look good, I like the invisible ladders they are like random easter eggs. The character designs work and I had a fun time running through chapter 1. I wish the battle animation for the enemy didn't attract the portrait icon and instead attack the character. I'm not a fan of Earthbound's battle screen.
oh my gosh this is so good
the music killed me, the animations were really good, and the humor was super enjoyable! I'm really excited to see more!
My one complaint was Sixtee's really low luck stat, but I saw earlier that you were planning other party members to balance that. Overall really really well done!

WELL HECK thanks alot! im glad so many people are noticing all the smaller details. like the background, i figured it'd be one of those "you do things right people wont be sure you've done anything at all" situations!
as a reward here's the full thing lmao

It's pretty fun to play though, you and Simp have done a great job so far. I enjoy the attention of detail to the sprite work and the comedy is great for a game like this. I actually enjoy the waterfall glitch. You could make going down the waterfall an easter egg/alternate path during part of the game.
im not sure what you mean by images, i did all of them myself.
as for the sounds its all the stock shitty ones rpgmaker has built in. i really wanna find new ones though, if i can find a website of just cartoon sound effects i would change them in a heartbeat. also the music.

That was a lot of fun! Your art really stands out as something unique. It puts the game above others of its kind.
Bugs have already been mentioned so I won't bother you with those.
I'm sure a plugin exists that hides the textbox with the push of a button - something like that would make the special scenes easier to see.

Okay so some of my criticisms MIGHT be because this is just a demo, and that's fine :3 But I'm still gonna point them out.
Overall:
VERY promising start, super interested to see where you take this. Cannot wait to see more :)
Pros:
+ Visual style is nice!
+ Music is interesting, I think you should IF POSSIBLE move off of dark souls sounds and game music, but keep the style of the music still? If not, maybe remove the SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE and the DARK SOULS DEATH sounds at least?
+ Obvious inspiration from LISA that is cute and makes the game enjoyable, I feel like you'll do a lot of good with the cute sprites.
+ Love that Nick has his own set of LISA style gross sprite attacks, I hope this trend connects to the rest of the enemies eventually.
+ That ending was hot.
Cons:
- Detailed Game over scenes are going to be extremely important if this is going to fit that lewd, hot RPG style you want. Nick's ending was fantastic but occurred because of a scripted end, and it was also relatively short. It was also (as far as I saw) the only bad ending featured. Please don't fall into the trap of only making significant enemies hot! I would have loved to see a slime make good on its promise to digest me away, all while taking its time to mock my character and toy with his body. Or the shrubs get to actually 'play' with me. It also helps to tell me exactly what happened: if the shrubs beat me, what then? Do I get enslaved by plant life? Do they take me back to their plant abode and do things to me?
- LISA Style attacks should appear above the UI.
- Some sound effects (such as the cheering from cheap shot) are very loud.
- This is a big one: Balancing. Main character's luck is inexcusably bullshit for the amount of damage he takes, I'd rather the luck system be downplayed a large amount or any low luck characters have much higher defense to compensate. It's not fun to miss several attacks and then get half of my health taken. Granted, the game was easy as hell with the items I had, but I'd rather have had less items but more of an emphasis on smart ability usage.
I think the best balance for this is Monster Girl Quest. Luck has a small role and you'll miss some attacks, but not nearly as many, and usually if you miss its because an enemy used an ability that you can counter.
You could also use their style for Nick's abilities. Nick stuns you and uses his attractive butt to hypnotize you -- what if he had a tell that you could block? And if you didn't block it, that's how he wins. If you do, then you avoid his ability and win the fight. It makes the user pay attention to these things. It could even be as subtle as changing the sprite or his expression, or having dialogue pop up to warn you.
All I know is, making the luck incredibly low is honestly a weak way of making the gameplay challenging. There's so much more you can do.
