I don't like gory movies, and I think zombie movies are too much "you've seen one, you've seen them all." That having been said, the Guy Responsible For It All deserves a fitting tribute. Not only did he turn zombies from the "voodoo slave-corpse" to "cannibalistic cadaver," but also used the genre he created as a subversive critique on Capitalism. (Which is why you see protestors dressed as the undead at these global economic summits.) One of the many subtleties that he found lacking in the countless many who followed. But it definately goes without saying that his influence is still going to be with us for a long time to come.

god that is said. I wonder if Romero's sidekick is still alive the guy that did the makeup in each of Ramiro's films went on to become a actor, writer and director and did his own series of zombie movies in the early days of his career he did the Living dead movies back in the 80s I'm trying to her member the exact name of the movies he did the ones where the zombies eat brains the marrows zombies pretty much eat everything the brain eating zombies were also more intelligent than the Romero zombies.
