The U.S. government found Halyte at a meteor crash site, where the plasma from inside the meteor became attracted to her body's electromagnetic field. The government conducted countless experiments to find why the plasma was attracted to only her. She managed to escape with only a scar under her left eye, and has taken refuge in France.
