This is a really special personal piece/gift for myself and
midnight_yamikidate
Since he introduced me to the series, I've absolutely fallen in love with Wings of Fire. It's such a well written series, and the cover art for the books are absolutely stunning. I wanted to draw this little piece, because Mid is going to get to meet the author of the series, Tui Sutherland!
So I drew our two fancharacters, Shimmermist the Sea/RainWing and Mireshaker the Mud/NightWing hybrids. I wanted to get my drawing as close to the book style as possible, and I felt like I was gonna die while painting all those tiny little scales. *faints* But all that effort was soooooo worth it.
I hope to get this piece printed at a store so I can send 2 copies of it to Mid so Tui can sign them. *fingers crossed*
Enjoy!

omg, you REALLY need to read Darkstalker (and obviously book 9 as well and 10 when it comes out)
but Darkstalker is SUCH an intresting read. and it's well done as always so it doesnt even FEEL like the longest book in the series (Even though it is)
also, I'd reccomend checking out the "Winglets", there are 4 of them currenetly and they are all Ebooks. they are little mini side stories of some characters we have come to know throughout the series (derping on name but Starflight's sister, Six-Claws, and Deathbringer). the first three (those characters) were all released as a mini book (you can liekly find it on amazon) in print, but the last one is e-book only.
hope that helps a bit man, enjoy the series!

Series is pretty good over all.
I can think of many ways it could've been better though.
Example 1: More magic use.
- The queens could be the magic masters of their tribes. That would certainly give their subjects a reason to love and/or fear them.
- Stonemover could be reclusive magic master. Teaches the dragonets how to awaken their hidden magic.
Example 2: The SkyWings should be the ones to have a resistance to fire, not the MudWings. As a result, Peril would've been saved by Kestrel and raised with the prophecy dragonets. Kestrel wouldn't have been so harsh on them.
Example 3: The Talons of Peace could be something like the Guardians in Legend of Spyro. The prophecy dragonets could've been taught with the "alternate dragonets" and just proved to be a better team.
