The Anthrocon Dance Comp this year was very special for me!
Ever since Strobes and I started doing dance comps in fall of 2012 we did Anthrocon together as a duet every year. This year would have been our fifth duet there, but due to work being very stressful leading up to AC and some big time constraints we had to scrap our idea. Two weeks before AC we switched to solo entries. It was not something we wanted to do but life happens haha.
So I had never done solo tryouts at AC and honestly it was pretty intimidating. I was also lending Dew Shep to my very good friend Jamage for Friday-Sunday of Anthrocon so he could do dance comp and the parade. Jamage and Strobes are incredible dancers and I knew they would get in. As a more performance based dancer I was worried (as I always am every tryout) but I managed to get in too! I was so excited that Strobes and I would now get to experience doing solos at AC, and I'd get to see one of my other suits dance at one of the biggest furry dance comps!
The three of us had a blast dancing on stage and OMG Strobes and Jamage killed it, Strobes took home first place and Jamage took home second place. I was so happy I was crying, I love them both so much.
