I just got my first order of baby birds in the store yesterday, among them this little cutie.
I always wanted a bird that would live at the store and act as a sort or ambassador between the birds and the customers. I originally had my heart set on a Macaw to do the job, but when the breeder mentioned that she had this little cutie, I had a gut instinct that this guy would end up being my store bird.

He's still being hand fed, so I sent him off to the woman who babysits our birds before they are old enough to come into the store. I asked her to let me know what his personality is like when he calms down and adapts to his new surroundings, so if he's a nice bird, he's getting the go ahead to be my Mascot.

Believe it or not, he is an amazon and he is almost his full size. Spectacled amazons are the smallest of the amazon family.

I'm thinking of naming him Peanut, but I'm open to other suggestions for names.
