The feeling of isolation a furry can feel before finding other furries can certainly be overwhelming, but I think there's always a measure of isolation that goes with the furry condition, even when there's the comfort of knowing that you're 'not alone.' Although we as a fandom can share our appreciation and desires for those held in our fantasies, we are still isolated from them.
