Had fun making Lugia, so I thought I’d make another of my favorites.
Rayquaza. Those who claim Arceus is the god of Pokemon, never met Rayquaza. The physical personification of destruction and chaos. Due to a typo in the Pokedex, it is claimed to be 23ft long. It’s actually 123ft. I always saw the Quetzalcoatl in him, the old dragon god of the Aztecs. While I never pictured Rayquaza a god, of Pokemon or otherwise, I did feel he entered the realm of god-like status. He is my all-time favorite Pokemon. Also, I don't pronounce his name like the movies; ray-qway-za. I hearken to the Aztec god with his name as well; ray-qwah-za.
A large creature with plenty of mass to, quite literally, throw around at its opponents. A seemingly never ending supply of hyperbeams and dragonbreath. A deadly ability to wrap its opponents and hurl them into the ground. A crunch that could most likely shatter steel and concrete. He may not match Lugia’s or Suicune’s elegance or grace, but he is brute force, raw power, and total badassery turned up to 12. He’s an acquired taste, with a generous dose of respect and fear. Unlike most Pokemon, he has no real desire for being a human’s Pokemon. One must earn his respect to gain his trust and obedience. No small order, but to those who can reach out to this mighty creature, no opponent will stand before them…nor will the stadium they were fighting in. Use with caution.
Status: Captured, shiny
Nickname: Draco, the Dragon God
Favorite Song: Jetfire – International
