So I decided to draw my characters in bathing suits. And by "Draw," I mean "Over the reference sheets I already made for them."
I've come to think of Amber as a bifauxnen/reverse trap, dressing as (and often passing for) a male, so at first I wondered what sort of bathing suit would make her look the most like a male. I eventually decided that if she cared that much about maintaining the illusion of masculinity, she wouldn't be half-naked on the beach in the first place. Instead, I decided to go in the exact opposite direction and select the bathing suit with the most intimidation value, and this was pretty much the first design I thought of. I considered a Borat-style slingkini, but decided that would be too trashy.
