Her father is probably a legendary dragon defending his kin from prejudiced humans, and her mother most likely a princess he originally kidnapped but she then realized dragons were misunderstood and fell in love with him.

That's not too far off from what I'd considered for her backstory. Her mother was human, her father the dragon king, and I'm not sure how they ended up together, but she was the result.
