OK. Now I have the thing glues up. The lower jaw is glued together but not attached. The ears and nose are pinned on as well. I've sculpted the thing and it will soon be ready for fur and fleece. I need to smooth out that sneer.
I apologize for the crappy photo. I only have my iPad right now and it's not so good. My lil point n shoot camera croaked and I haven't had time to shop for a replacement.
Oh, and Mercy has a last name now. Oopial. Mercy Oopial.

Yeah, hot and sticky stuff can really get you :/ Be careful with the low temp, though. I've heard of people leaving stuff in their car in summer and coming back to find it in pieces!
I wonder if you could use hot melt for assembly and gorilla glue for a permanent bond? GG expands into foam (similar to spray foam insulation) when it dries, which you can then cut or file to shape.

Yeah, I think it's actually a polyurethane. A friend showed me something similar they use in drilling water wells. It foams up and expands in the presence of any moisture, so they use it to seal well casing. You might therefore be able to use it as both a glue and a filler, and it's tough stuff.
Just an idea to experiment with :)
