get the books by Burne Hogarth, he did Tarzan in the newspaper syndication comics after Hal Foster went on to do his now famous Prince Valiant series. Dynamic Anatomy, Dynamic Figure drawing is what taught me how to draw and at different angles in deep space. They might be in the library.
well if i was you i would actually try to do something with the negative space around the figure. maybe like a blobby vector vines or some really pretty swirls to ease that negative space around him the brown kinda seems boring but the figure is done as far as i can tell you did great and shouldn't touch it but try to play with the BG a bit.
