Just an idea for a character I couldn't get out of my head, so I had to draw it out like everything else that gets stuck in my head.
Dale likes to wear a kilt, along with a standard gardevoir top, and his special gloves that resemble mudsdale hooves.
Very loyal to his original trainer, even though she wants to trade him away, Dale understands why. He does hope to travel outside of his home island and see the rest of Alola.

Yeah, but, Mudbray can't be caught in Heavy Balls, or are very unlikely to, at the least.
Plus, the Mudsdale's a Male. Therefor, no Pokeball inherit.
Look, I know I'm being weirdly detailed about this... But that's just how I am.
Plus, I'm talking in-game logic, soooo... Take it with a grain of salt, I guess?

I've gone to great lengths to catch even legendary pokemon in statistically sub-optimal pokeballs due to aesthetic considerations a bunch. Premier balls, a dive ball for a Suicune, I'm pretty sure I have a Ho-oh in a Luxury ball, et cetera. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine others would be inclined to do that as well.
That's because Beast Balls have a standard catch rate on normal Pokemon.
Heavy Balls, on the other hand, have a negative catch rate on Pokemon under a certain weight.
Source, if yah want it.

Well, starters are not wild Pokemon, so they don't count.
And Mudbray has a catch rate of... 190, so it'd be 160.
*shrug*
I'm just saying. You get 1 a game and who'd waste it on that?
And I might not be the best informed. Before this the only person I know who used one said it couldn't even catch a super common Pokemon.
And I've never really cared for it.

I caught Necrozma in a Beast Ball. It's not Technically an Ultra beast so the lower multiplier was set, but it's catch rate is still very low.
If that's possible, i'm pretty sure it's possible to catch a light pokemon in a heavy ball with enough soft resets.

Trying to catch a Shiny wimpod in a love ball was another story, that I failed in.
