yeah, well, had that idea... then decided to use a quill and some blue ink I found while cleaning up. and found out that paper is good for anything but inking. :P
anyway, it's just a scribble, so there. the frame got added as an afterthought, because it looked so empty.
no idea what that is. tiger-dragon? some kind of demon? and no, I don't know what kind that tree is supposed to be either. :)

something like that, yes. the BG _did_ look empty after all. also, that blue ink didn't work well, I guess it was drying up. that bowl must be aeons old.
and yes, normally I would use better paper. I'll try that pergament-like 'elephant skin' paper maybe.
I also recently aquired a new quill tip, and maybe I'll get soem more. it's a bit tiresome, but fun either way to draw with quill. ^^
