Haru is capable of casting unique spells known as Fonic Hymns. Fonic Hymns are a type of spells where magic effects are applied through the use of songs. Though mentioned as relatively weak, the ones used by Haru are on par with regular spells in terms of strength. In order to use a hymn to is fullest potential, the user must not only know the melody, but also the meaning and symbolism behind it. Haru hymns can also rejuvenate allies, it can dispel possessions, dispel magical traps, can create protective barriers, erupt or calm down a volcano and quell a raging dragon. If Haru or one of his friends that he has a close and strong bond with is dying or K.O. in battle, there's a small chance for Haru to subconsciously activate his Fonic Hymns hidden ability Anthem. When Haru uses Anthem he sings a powerful hymn that can fully heal, cure any status ailments, debuffs and revive Haru and his friends, boosting his friends and Haru's abilities, allowing him to cause a resonance within the powers of others and himself, augmenting his friends and Haru's physical and magical capabilities beyond normal capacity.
Haru knows 10 Fonic Hymns.
1. Nightmare - The enemy is surrounded by purple bubbles that steadily deal damage. Enemies hit may fall asleep. (Element = Darkness)
2. Radiant Song - The enemy is surrounded by a bright holy light that deals damage to the enemy. Enemies hit may get stunned. (Element = Light)
3. Force Field - It creates a large barrier with a large glyph beneath it that protects Haru and his allies inside the barrier, the barrier can negate all types of attacks. The barrier can last for 15 seconds and Haru can reset the timer by recharging the barrier with his magical energy.
4. Holy Song - This hymn involves a holy crest appearing beneath Haru and spreading an invigorating holy light and angel feathers across the battlefield to increase all the stats of Haru and all his allies while it slightly heals them.
5. Revitalize - A giant glyph appears under the entire battlefield, healing Haru and all his allies significantly at a fixed rate.
6. Judgement - Create several pillars of light that strike randomly from above across the battlefield for a short period of time. (Element = Fire, Light)
7. Grand Cross - A glyph is created on the ground beneath the enemy, summoning rays of light that lift the enemy into the air, followed by a cross-shaped blast that knocks them down. (Element = Light)
8. Healing Song - A giant glyph appears under the entire battlefield, a giant sphere of light surrounded by multiple magical glyphs in the form of rings appear above the center of the battlefield, and large transparent symbols fall from above to the ground and when they touch the ground, they turn into shining water. And large transparent stone tablets with symbols on them appear surrounding Haru and all his allies, fully healing them and increasing their physical and magical defense.
9. Luminoso - Haru starts singing, summoning a single light comet towards the battlefield. Upon touching the ground (and damaging all the enemies on the battlefield), a wide, blue magical circle can be seen on the sky, behind light clouds, while the ground is covered in greenery that sways gently in the breeze (damaging the enemies one last time). And the hymn increases the physical and magical attack and defense of Haru and all his allies. (Element = Light)
10. Decadent Song - Haru sings and summons a black comet towards the battlefield. Upon touching the ground (and damaging all the enemies on the battlefield), the comet’s tail sprouts red tendrils, crystallizing the area around it. Also, creepy dark eyes appear around the dark beam, opening as the song finishes (damaging the enemies one last time). And the hymn decreases the physical and magical attack and defense of all enemies. (Element = Darkness)
