In their final showdown the dragon Drake charges at Tommy while unaware Kimberly comes to be with him, it was a foolish move but since the dragon charges Tommy has to end this now. He throws the spear into the dragon's weak spot aiming it right in the heart killing Drake for good. Slowly dying Drake sinks to the lake and dies from the injury.
