Although shocked at the fact that Aurora was transformed into her new form, Kyro stood by her after she told him what had happened to her parents and herself. In the moments after her transformation, she and Kyro needed to hide because they knew that the Aura Dragons would come to search the area for what had just happened. They find a cave some distance away in a secluded area and use it hide from the Auras. A few days later, a blizzard hits, forcing Aurora and Kyro to stay inside the cave where Kyro lights up a fire with a few pieces of wood he had gathered earlier. As night falls, the blizzard has not ended and the temperatures drop below freezing. Aurora shivers vigorously as the freezing air is too much for her. She sheds tears as the freezing air makes her grieve more for her parents and thinking that she's all alone in this cold and cruel world. Kyro, being the caring friend he is, lays down beside Aurora near the fire to comfort and warm her. He hangs his left wing over the fire for some time, then he drapes his wing over Aurora, acting like a warm blanket to shield her from the cold. He gently pulls her closer to him, wrapping his left arm around her and placing his left hand on top of her hand and underneath her chin. He assures Aurora that she is not alone, that he will be there for her no matter what and won't let anything happen to her. Aurora nuzzles him as she is embraced by his warmth and comforting words and he nuzzles her back. She gives a gentle kiss on his cheek before falling asleep in his loving embrace.
